Temporary Mover, Data Center Equipment
Emerging Tech is hiring temporary laborers to help relocate data center equipment, servers, switches, routers, and storage, as part of a facility move at the VA Medical Center in Battle Creek, Michigan. The work involves unracking, transporting, and re-racking equipment on a pre-coordinated schedule, including some overnight and off-hours shifts.
What You’Ll Do
- Help disassemble and reassemble server racks and components
- Move and handle IT hardware, including servers, switches, routers, and network appliances
- Work under the direction of VA facilities and IT staff
- Label and protect equipment throughout the move
- Follow scheduled times and site safety/security protocols closely
What We’Re Looking For
- Able to lift and maneuver 50–75 lbs
- Prior experience with IT equipment handling, AV/telecom moves, or server room relocations is a plus
- Punctual, dependable, and precise about following instructions
- Available for off-hours and overnight shifts; own transportation required
- Comfortable working in a professional, security-sensitive environment
